Renew Europe’s commitments to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities
Around 20% of the population of the European Union has some kind of disability. People with disabilities face more barriers, challenges and discrimination in their daily lives. In addition to this, the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures applied by the Member States have had a disproportionate effect on people with disabilities. Therefore, the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament has undertaken strong commitments to ensure the rights of people with disabilities and calls for concrete steps towards creating an inclusive European society based on equality and full accessibility for everyone.

Engagements de Renew Europe pour garantir les droits des personnes handicapées
Environ 20 % de la population de l'Union européenne souffre d'un handicap quelconque. Les personnes handicapées sont confrontées à davantage d'obstacles, de défis et de discriminations dans leur vie quotidienne. Par ailleurs, la pandémie COVID-19 et les mesures appliquées par les États membres ont eu un effet disproportionné sur les personnes handicapées. C'est pourquoi le groupe Renew Europe au Parlement européen a pris des engagements forts afin de garantir les droits des personnes handicapées et appelle à des mesures concrètes pour créer une société européenne inclusive, fondée sur l'égalité et la pleine accessibilité pour tous.
