Ahead of the EU - Ukraine Summit, starting today in Kyiv, Renew Europe repeats its call for the expansion of sanctions to the 6,000 individuals at the heart of Putin's dictatorship, the gradual integration of Ukraine into our bloc, in particular the common market, structural programs and European funds. In addition to a strong European perspective for Ukraine, Renew Europe calls for increased financial, technical, military and political support, regardless of Russian propaganda and threats.
The President of the Renew Europe Group, Stéphane Séjourné, said:
“Ukrainians carry the security of the European Union on their shoulders. A new Russian offensive of unprecedented violence is foreseeable, so let us not give Putin's military regime any breathing space! It is not for Russia to set the red lines; our wholehearted support to the Ukrainian people must continue.”
