Supporting the European automotive sector to meet EU green transition goals in global competition
This event will discuss the challenges facing European carmakers and how we can turn these challenges into opportunities to ensure the industry's global competitiveness and achieve the EU's current green transition goals. The sale of electric vehicles is rising globally and in the EU, in spite of recent fluctuations, and this trend is set to continue on a path to zero-emission mobility. However, other countries risk overtaking EU leadership in the automotive industry. Without action much of the value in EV manufacturing is shifting to China. In order to ensure a successful transition to automotive electrification and ensure EU technological leadership, it is important to create a broad strategy that promotes competitiveness, European autonomy, and affordability for consumers
Stakeholders will share their perspectives to help shape future proposals.
*WEBSTREAMING will be available on the day of the event. The link will be provided soon.
